President - Kim Evens
Kim is a junior at Braden River and is actively involved in both band and choir. This is her third year in Wind Ensemble and her second year as the Drum Major for the Marching Band of Pirates. This is her second year in River Rhapsody and is very excited to be Student Director of Rhapsody for the second year. She looks forward to the success of the music departments as well as for the BRHS Tri-M chapter. |
Webmaster - DeAnne Sipes
DeAnne is a senior at Braden River High School. This year is her 3rd year in BRHS River Rhapsody and Women's Chorale. She won a lead role in the BRHS production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" and "The Trial of the Wicked Witch", in addition to joining the ensemble in "Bring My Regards to Broadway" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". She is excited to see Tri-M expand, and can't wait to make beautiful music with all of you! |

Kathy Cook
Kathy Cook is a professional violinist who received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida and her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. She is in her 23rd year of teaching Orchestra in Manatee County. Previous teaching experiences include Lincoln Middle School, Palmetto High School, and Electa Lee Magnet Middle School. She is a Past President of the Florida Orchestra Association, and is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Florida Music Educators Association, and the Florida Orchestra Association. She is a State Certified Adjudicator and judges Music Performance Assessments throughout Florida. In October 2009, Mrs. Cook was honored by the Sarasota Orchestra as "Music Educator of the Year". She teaches Orchestra and AP Music Theory at Braden River High School, where she is also the Tri-M National Music Honor Society sponsor. |
